I am very happy to know that SICBMA is launching their website with a new look and feel.
As member of SICBMA, this indeed is a very momentous occasion for me to address you on this site as FCBM President.
As you all know, our industry has been passing through a difficult phase – as was the case with many other industries.
We are now able to see the end of recession and beginning of growth. India’s Industrial Production is growing at 7 – 8 % adding to signs that Asia’s third-largest economy has escaped the worst of the global recession. It is believed Asian economy will improve in the second half of 2009 and in 2010.
Let us hope this year will usher in positive changes. The economy is going north, providing impetus for development and growth. More opportunities and avenues would open up and these will also bring more challenges.
Sweeping changes are taking place in every facet of our industry. Automatic plants, flexo printers, rotary die cutters are replacing the conventional semi auto machines as customers demand boxes of superior quality parameters and closer tolerances.
It is vital that we transform our business processes and management methods. Keeping pace with today’s technology will show us the road map we need.
We need to plan strategies to face the challenges and gear up to meet the opportunities that will come our way in the future.
I Congratulate Mr Gopalan,President SICBMA and his team especially Mr Karunakaran chairman website for designing the SICBMA site and I am sure they will continue their good work . |

Dear Friends
I am proud to become President of prestigious 44 years old, second largest Association of FCBM - South India Corrugated Box Manufacturers Association. I thank whole heartedly all the members for honouring and giving me an opportunity to serve the Association by electing me as President. Our predecessors have built smooth highway path to run the Association. We have to maintain the same. I need all your co operation to run the Association smoothly. No Association can run without fuel i.e. Subscription. So my humble request is to pay the due in time. Secondly required oil and grease i.e. your suggestions and attendance.
